Installation is very simple and DIY-friendly. The Smart Curtain Robot clips onto your existing Roman curtain rod—no drilling, no wiring and no special tools needed. Most customers install it in just a few minutes by attaching it to the rod, pairing it with the app, and running a quick calibration in the Smart Life/Tuya app.

This model is designed for standard round curtain rods (Roman poles) within the supported diameter range (approx. 15–40 mm). If you have a regular rod with ring-style curtains, you’re good to go. If your curtains run on a built-in rail or a very unusual track system, this specific model may not be compatible—feel free to contact LIVO support with a photo of your setup and we’ll help you confirm.

Yes. Once the robot is connected to the Smart Life/Tuya app through a WiFi gateway, you can open or close your curtains from anywhere using your smartphone. You can also set schedules and automation (for example, close at sunset) so your curtains move automatically even when you’re away.

The Smart Curtain Robot is designed to handle most standard and medium-heavy curtains, including many blackout curtains, as long as the rod is securely installed and the curtain weight is within a normal household range. For extremely heavy, layered drapes or very wide windows, we recommend using two robots (one on each side) or contacting us with your curtain details so we can advise the best setup.
